Walltopia has introduced a new standard for outdoor climbing walls. It is common knowledge that even treated against humidity Plywood suffers from dampness and dripping water which penetrates the panels through the holes for holds and eventually destroys even the strongest Plywood. There is no need to worry about humidity and its bad effect on Plywood panels anymore. With the introduction of composite materials such as GRP your outdoor climbing wall’s life span is practically eternal. Furthermore Walltopia’s Flat GRP panels are indistinguishable from Plywood in both appearance and surface texture and are perfect for both indoor and outdoor use.

Dry Ice – When you don't want to miss on the winter experience!

Now it is possible to practice all kinds of ice climbing techniques on Walltopia Dry Ice panels. Grab your ice tools and crampons, the only thing missing is the cold. Dry Ice is attachable to existing plywood panels and can be easily dismantled and replaced with new foam panels.

Walltopia has gone even further by coming up with the brand new series of Dry Ice Volumes – GRP models with intechangeable Dry Ice foam panels inside that can be added to any plywood wall for experiencing ice climbing. Dry Ice Volumes allow for practice of techniques for mixed climbing on ice and rock – stabbing the ice axe in the custom made Dry Ice panel inside the GRP volume or hanging it on its specially made indentations. Walltopia preconfigured climbing routes offer is for up to 60 types of different overhangs and dimensions. Lanes can be installed side by side, resulting in an integral and custom configuration of your choice. Students can be trained gradually with different levels fo difficulty on various climbing surfaces!

The official Speed wall is 3m wide and has a 5 degrees continuous overhang. We offer 10m high and 15m high Speed walls made of Plywood (for internal use) and of Flat GRP panels (for outdoor use). Every Speed wall that Walltopia produces is approved for setting world records in the newest Olympic discipline of speed climbing. Walltopia is proud to present its newest product for the playground, leisure and entertainment markets – the Rockasaurus!

The Rockasaurus is a dinosaur-like climbable feature with an integrated closed slide with stairs on the Rockasaurus’s tail and slide exiting through its mouth. It is especially designed for children playgrounds and attraction parks and is suitable for children of all ages.
The Rockasaurus fully complies with the European Standard for Playground equipment: EN 1176.
The Rockasaurus is available with or without bolt-on holds upon client’s request.
The approximate dimensions of the Rockasaurus feature are 5m length and 2.5m height. It is transported in two pieces and fits in a shipping container which makes it deliverable worldwide.

Walltopia Mobile Boulder

Walltopia Hydraulic Mobile Boulder is the optimal solution for setting up outdoor boulder climbing events or for parties and birthdays. It has adjustable overhangs on all four sides and requires less than thirty minutes for full set-up.
Easy to transport and operate, this system can be used by both professional and amateur climbers. In addition, Walltopia can provide an inflatable mat that can be transported inside the boulder. The only thing you need to operate the system is a van or pick-up truck for towing the boulder and a household electrical supply for changing the overhangs.

Impact padding
Impact Rubber Padding

Made from 100% recycled rubber, impact safety padding is designed to reduce risk of serious injury caused by a fall from playground equipment to minimum. It is also highly appropriate for covering floor areas in climbing gyms and protecting the climber if a fall occurs from the first 3m from the ground. All impact rubber mats provided by Walltopia are tested in accordance with the Head Impact Criteria (HIC) safety requirements to the critical fall height according to EN 1177 - Impact Absorbing Playground Surfacing.

Impact rubber padding provides optimum protecton against injuries and is suitable for a wide range of facilities - from playgrounds to climbing gyms, rehabilitation centers, schools, sports facilities and recreational parks.
Impact rubber mats are available in a range of thicknesses (from 20mm to 100mm) and rasters (from 15mm to 28mm) depending on the expected critical fall height. Walltopia's experienced technical team provides guidance as to the recommended thickness of the rubber padding before you order.
Easy installation over concrete or other stabilized base flooring with the use of interlocking mechanisms that prevent the panels from splitting and eliminate possibilities of gap emergence.
Rubber mats possess superior shock and sound absorption properties, are water permeable, extremely durable with long lasting elasticity and require very low maintenance.

Climbing equipment

Climbing gear provided by Walltopia is in accordance with all applicable norms of CEN (European Committee for Standardisation) and UIAA (International Federation of Mountaineering Associations).

Climbing ropes of kermantle construction. Choice of static or dynamic climbing ropes. Dynamic ropes are designed to sustain greater forces and thus are suitable for arresting the fall of a climber as belaying ropes. Static ropes stretch far less and are suitable for top rope anchoring systems and abseiling. Climbing ropes specifically designed for use on artificial climbing walls and top roping have an outer sheath thickened for durability as well as greater resistance to friction. We choose the ropes we provide carefully so they remain flexible for a longer time and are children-friendly.
Carabiners come in aluminium or if requested in steel and in a variety of forms depending on the intended use of the carabiner. Locking carabiners (with a standard or automatic locking mechanism) are used for belaying while non-locking carabiners are a part of a quickdraw. HMS shaped carabiners are recommended for belaying purposes as they are designed to have better load distribution. Carabiners come fully zinc plated and durable in humid conditions. Carabiners are in accordance with EN 12275 - Mountaineering equipment. Connectors. Safety requirements and test methods.
Quickdraws used on artificial climbing walls are made of a pre-sewn webbing with two carabiners or webbing with a carabiner and a maillon. When a wuickdraw with two carabiners is used, the carabiner with the straight gate is clipped to the protection point so the possibility of a climber accidentally unclipping the carabiner is decreased. The carabiner on the end of the quickdraw in contact with the climbing rope has a bent gate in order to make it easier and quicker for the climber to clip himself. Quickdraws with a carbiner and a maillon are the preferred type for climbing walls as they are not intended to be relocated very often.
Harnesses generally come in a variety of models each designed to cater for a specific type of climbing from sports to alpine or big wall climbing. Harnesses offered for rent on climbing walls should have adjustable belt and leg loops to cover a wider range of age groups and body structures. Following the advised safety instructions of the manufacturer, instructor or supervisor when climbing with a rented harness is highly recommended as harnesses are life-saving pieces of equipment. All harnesses come with a user manual and are in accordance to the standard for Mountaneering equipment EN 12277.
Belay devices are an important piece of equipment that acts as the blood line between the climber and the belayer. We higly recommend seeking advice from experts before choosing and purchasing a specific model for use on a commercial climbing wall. Passive camming devices rely on the belayer's brake and the carabiner to increase friction and arrest a fall. Active camming devices such as the Gri-Gri have a mechanism that locks off the rope. However preferred by inexperienced climbers, the Gri-Gri carries a risk of reverse threading and should by no means be used without supervision.
Rappel devices are designed for descending ropes in a controlled and secure manner. Some descenders are also suitable for belaying such as the Figure Eight. This device is used in rescue operations and is by far the most popular rappel device with the undisputable advantage of efficient heat waste. Compact in size and very light, the Figure Eight can be used on single and double ropes making it the most versatile of all rappel devices. Other devices suitable strictly for rappeling such as the Rappel Rack can also be ordered. Consult with Walltopia's team for the most appropriate device for your needs and requirements.
Protection devices are now also offered by Walltopia upon request in order to compliment our ground-breaking technology for manufacturing cracks suitable for practicing trad climbing techniques. With Walltopia's special Rocktopia Cracks, you can bring Trad Climbing experience indoors. Nuts and Hexes are similar devices that are wedged in cracks while SLCD or Spring loaded camming devices are used by pulling the cams, inserting the device in the crack and then releasing it so it jams securely. Traditional protection devices on artificial climbing walls cannot be used as sole protection points.
Various training equipment is favored for srengthening particular techniques or specific muscle groups. We can incorporate the design of your climbing wall with a campus board (series of horizontal wooden rungs) used for developing finger and contact strength. HRT's fingerboards are specifically designed for improving grip technique and grip strength but also with utmost care to the tendon health of the climber.
Climbing shoes are footwear with specialised rubber soles that increase the grip and friction between the foot and the climbing surface. Models aimed at different type of climbing, e.g. bouldering, big wall, on edges, for precise technical routes, etc. differ in construction or in type of rubber used for the sole. Climbing shoes preferred for use on a commercial climbing wall tend to be simpler, easier to put on and more classic in construction and thus suitable for a greater variety of people.
Climbing in maintained and controlled environments such as artificial climbing walls does not require wearing helmets as a safety precaution. Nonetheless many facilities choose to offer or insist on equipping climbers with a helmet to protect them from injuries caused by possible belayer's fault or resulting from a pendulum swing. A helmet can be produced under different technologies, each having its benefits and drawbacks. We strive to provide our clients with products optimally compromised between strenght and weight. We choose light, comfortable and well ventilated helmets with adjustable webbing under the chin and around the head.

T-nuts - Innovative EZT Technology!

Walltopia climbing walls are equipped with the strongest and easiest for replacement T-nuts. We use T-nuts that are screwed into the panel instead of being embedded which allows for easily changing them if they wear out or become damaged due to excessive or incorrect screwing of climbing holds. Learn more about Walltopia's unique EZT's.. We also pay attention to constantly improving our T-nuts so they have wider bases and the tloads on the T-nut and the panels are more evenly distributed. All Walltopia T-nuts are strictly anti-rotational and come in zinc plated metal or stainless steel suitable for outdoor walls built in humid areas.

Belay hangers - Introducing Walltopia Own Eye Bolt

Walltopia introduces a new ground breaking system to take over the most common belay hangers if requested. We started manufacturing our own belay points that boast some key advantages when compared to the well-known FIXE belay hangers. In addition to being more easthetically pleasing, they are also safer: the eye of the anchor bolts is smaller and there is nor risk for any climber to stick a finger in it and subsequently get hurt. The opening of the bolt is big enough only for the quick link or the carabiner. Moreover once clipped in the anchor bolt, there is no possibility for the carabiner to turn and twist in the small eye of the bolt - it is fixed and secure in its place. Walltopia new anchor bolts are with round edges and are gentle on steel carabiners thus prolonging their life. CE certified and manufactured according to EN 795.

Walltopia uses high quality FIXE products for all belay points. They are the strongest available hangers that sustain 40kN of loads - twice as much as other belay points. Top Rope Anchors

The "V" anchors we install on Walltopia climbing walls are the most popular type of top rope belay points in Europe favored for their strength and proven mix of both dependability and ease of use. The "V" anchor is a chain with either a ring or two carabiners attached to it. Anchors with a chain and two carabiners are suitable for both top rope and lead climbing as the carabiners are attached with their gates opening in opposite directrion to one another thus making it impossible for the rope to escape. The "V" top rope anchor is designed so it recreates the classic belay stance with the two protection points equalizing the load in between. Top rope anchors are provided in either zinc plated metal or stainless steel.

For Climbing competitions - With the time speed climbing becomes an official olympic sport steadily approaching, the International Federation of Sport Climbing strives harder to raise speed climbing to a whole new level. After the development of standardized offcial speed walls, now IFSC together with German manufacturer Alge Timing have developed a certified official timing device. Purchasing such a timer gives many organizations, local federations or sports clubs to conduct offcial speed competitions and register speed records. IFSC gives the opportunity to federations to rent the Timer device for organized by them competitions. The certified by IFSC speed climbing timer is a system composed of two LED dsiplay boards and two contact mats for each of the two competing climbers. The dispay boards and the start contact mats are connected to and controlled by timing devices with adjustable trigger impulse input. This system is complimented with a Startbeep device which adds to the emotional feeling of a big competition.

For Amusement and Recreation purposes - Walltopia is currently developing a simpler system suitable for climbing walls aimed at children and youth and installed at amusement centers, entertainment facilities, malls, etc. For those who are in need of a cost-effective alternative we provide an uncomplicated version of the official Timer system consisitng of a display panel with commanding buttons and/or sound system depending on specific needs and requirements.

HRT Relief

There are two technologies for manufacturing climbing holds depending on the type of surface of the hold. HRT uses both the positive and negative relief technology. HRT Positive has been used for years as the best technology for durable climbing holds with better feel compared to such produced with negative relief. However positive relief technology is llimiting in terms of design so HRT went back to negative relief and is now coming up with unique shapes with outsdandng design that have not lost any of the strength, durability or great feel.

HRT Safety Holds

Climbing holds usually break due to improper use - uneven surface or over tightening and it is essential for owners or operators of climbing faciities to purchase only climbing holds with safety systems. They guaranteee that no loose piece from a broken climbing hold will hurt a climber or passer by. HRT is one of the first companies to introduce a technology that minimizes the chance of any broken pieces falling of the wall at all. All HRT polyester holds contain a net of composite fibers each one wrapped around the hole in the middle. In case the hold breaks, the pieces remain on place hanging on the composite fibers. The only way that the broken hold falls down is by unscrewing it on purpose. HRT Safety Holds is an open-source technology.

UBI Technology

UBI Technology is a revolutionary steel insert that allows the use of both countersink and cap head bolts for all HRT climbing holds. The cylinder fits on the flat bottom of the insert; the cone lies on the slanted outer walls. Moreover, with the new Universal Bolt Insert Technology, hold strength increases by up to as much as 300 percent. The internal stresses in the hold are now spreaded more evenly around the bolt hole and the pressure at the bottom is decreased and relocated to the sides of the hold thus creating the strongest holds ever. UBI is integrated in all HRT bolt-on holds.

PU Holds

Polyurethane - the future of climbing holds. All HRT models are now available in PU as well. Polyurethane holds are lighter and stronger which makes them the route setter's dream. Furthermore PU is practically indestructable
so holds do not break if overtightened, put on an uneven surface or dropped on the floor. However 100% PU holds do not have a durable surface coating and tend to become greasy fairly soon. That is the reason for most climbing hold companies to use differewnt fillers like quartz sand for improval of the grip and feel of PU holds. What they achieve is to make the holds heavier and weaker. HRT, on the other hand, uses HRT SURFACE Hardening Technology and offer pure, lightweight and extra strong PU holds with a great feel that lasts.
