The outdoor climbing tower for DAV section Wangen, Germany was built in 2023. Following our protocols for outdoor climbing walls, the self-standing tower was built with hot-dip galvanized structure and impregnated plywood specifically designated for outdoor use. All fasteners are stainless steel or hot-dip galvanized. Unlike the common practice in our industry to use primed and painted structure, we always use hot dip galvanization for our outdoor structure as they need to withstand the weather impact. The roof adds an extra protection and allows users to climb even when the weather is not at its best.
