We continue our partnership with Sputnik Climbing with the completion of Sputnik Asturias, a full-service climbing gym in Lugones, Spain, in 2026. The project features 2,186 sqm (23,500 sqft) of climbing surface, combining indoor and outdoor rope climbing walls, bouldering, Climbmat safety flooring, and a Quantum Board XL for dedicated training.
As Sputnik’s seventh climbing gym and its first facility built from the ground up, the Asturias location marks an important milestone in the operator’s expansion. The climbing area features rope walls reaching up to 20 meters, with more than 100 routes and 40 auto belays distributed across indoor and outdoor climbing zones. A spacious bouldering area spanning two levels offers over 80 problems, while the Quantum Board XL, campus board, and additional training equipment provide opportunities for structured progression.
The facility also includes dedicated climbing areas for children, a fitness zone, and Sputnik’s signature Cantina, creating a welcoming environment for climbers, families, and visitors. Together, these spaces reflect Sputnik’s philosophy of building communities around climbing and making the sport accessible to people of different ages and abilities.
Our partnership with Sputnik Climbing began in 2021 with Las Rozas and has now continued for five years across six climbing gyms. Having been entrusted with every new Sputnik facility since then is the ultimate affirmation of our work and the relationships we strive to build with our clients.
We’re extremely grateful to the entire Sputnik team for their continued confidence in Walltopia. It’s a privilege to contribute to their growth, and we look forward to bringing even more climbing gyms to life together.
