Jump&Run

Jump&Run

Run. Jump. Fly. Compete.
A human-powered aerial race where every jump, sprint, and glide is earned by the rider.

  • Human-Powered Movement — every burst of speed comes from the rider, not a motor
  • Gravity-Propelled Trolley — lightweight, forward-only, up to 20 km/h
  • Solo or Competitive — single rides, parallel racing, timed challenges
  • Indoor & Outdoor — flat loops, inclined descents, any venue type
  • Modular Obstacles — customizable sequence and difficulty

Jump&Run is an active, human-powered ride where participants advance along a suspended track by running, jumping, and gliding. Every burst of speed and every moment of free glide is driven by the rider’s own effort — a physical experience that feels earned, not passive.

The attraction comes in two track configurations. The Gravitational Loop uses an inclined track where riders climb, tackle obstacles, and descend in gravity-assisted glide — ideal for venues with ceiling height or outdoor elevation. The Horizontal Loop runs flat, with riders generating all forward motion themselves and dual parallel tracks for head-to-head racing — suited to standard indoor spaces. Both adapt to virtually any venue and deliver the kind of visible, energetic spectacle that pulls crowds and drives repeat visits.

Obstacle Types

  1. Bosu Bounce — inflated dome platforms; riders push off and jump between them, balancing on the unstable surface
  2. Incline Rush — angled platforms stepping upward; riders drive themselves up with short, fast steps
  3. Pod Hop — small round platforms at intervals; riders jump pod to pod without touching the ground
  4. Wave Flow — curved platforms following an arc; riders run along the turn, leaning into the curve
  5. Swing Run — laterally offset platforms; riders step side to side while progressing forward
  6. Speed Steps — rapid zig-zag sequence; riders alternate feet with fast, precise footwork
  7. Ring Run — vertical rings mounted along the track; riders pass through without breaking stride
  8. Hop Steps — rounded step platforms in sequence; riders hop forward in a steady rhythm
  9. Balance Flow — platforms with wider gaps; riders slow down, stabilize, and reach for the next

Gravitational Loop

Inclined track with dynamic ascent & glide

Riders climb via inclined platforms, navigate obstacles on the way up, and descend in gravity-assisted free glide. The 4–7% gradient creates a visible, dramatic ride that alternates between physical effort and rewarding stretches of flight.

Best suited for:

  • adventure parks
  • outdoor leisure destinations
  • venues with high ceilings or multi-level structures
  • trampoline parks
  • trampoline parks

Horizontal Loop

Flat track focused on speed & flow

Riders generate all forward motion themselves — sprinting across platforms, leaping between obstacles, then hanging from the trolley to glide to the next challenge. The flat oval layout supports dual parallel tracks for head-to-head racing with a single shared start/finish platform.

Best suited for:

  • FECs
  • shopping malls
  • indoor adventure parks
  • trampoline parks
  • compact urban venues

Jump&Run FAQs: Everything you need to know

Can the track be lit for evening or dark-ride settings?

Yes. Programmable RGB LED lighting can be installed along the track and obstacles. A fluorescent coating option is also available — the track glows in the dark, creating an immersive experience ideal for night events or glow-themed sessions.

How many reference installations does Jump&Run have?

Jump&Run has been installed across multiple continents and venue types. Reference installations include Vitaland Entertainment Center in Kosovo, a venue in Qatar, and three Royal Caribbean cruise ships including Crown’s Edge on Icon of the Seas — the world’s first Jump&Run at sea, positioned 47 metres above the ocean with a signature trapdoor drop.

What revenue models does Jump&Run support?

Jump&Run supports pay-per-ride, head-to-head race challenges, timed competitions, league events, group bookings, and bundled ticketing. The competitive format naturally drives upsells — photo and video packages, branded leaderboards, and “challenge a friend” promotions all perform well alongside it.

What obstacles are on the course, and can the difficulty be adjusted?

Jump&Run offers a wide variety of obstacles that can be combined and sequenced to match your venue and target audience. Obstacle types include platform jumps, balance bridges, speed sections, agility runs, swing elements, and pod-based challenges. The selection and order are fully customisable — allowing you to dial up the difficulty for competitive adult formats or create a more accessible layout for families and younger riders. No two Jump&Run installations need to look or feel the same.

What safety standards and certifications does Jump&Run meet?

Walltopia Jump&Run complies with EN 13814 and the corresponding ASTM amusement safety standards. TÜV, CSEI, or equivalent third-party certification is guaranteed on every installation.

Who can ride — are there age, height, or weight limits?

Jump&Run is accessible to riders between 120 cm and 200 cm tall and between 30 kg and 120 kg — roughly age 7 and up. Children, teenagers, and adults can all use the same installation without modification.

How many staff are needed to operate it?

One operator is sufficient for normal daily operation. Two operators are recommended at maximum capacity to ensure smooth rider flow and minimise wait times.

How many riders per hour can it handle?

The base throughput is 60 participants per hour per section. The configuration determines the total capacity:

  • Single line: 60/hr
  • Double line: 2 × 60 = 120/hr
  • Single line with intermediate platform: 2 × 60 = 120/hr
  • Double line with intermediate platforms: 2 × 2 × 60 = 240/hr

Is Jump&Run suitable for outdoor installation?

Yes — Walltopia Jump&Run can be installed at virtually any location, indoors or outdoors. One of our flagship installations is on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, proving the system performs reliably even in the most demanding environments. The steel track is hot-dip galvanised or duplex coated to C5 corrosion resistance for outdoor and marine-grade durability.

What is the minimum ceiling height for indoor installation?

The minimum clear height is 5.80 m when the space beneath the track is unobstructed. In trampoline parks or venues with equipment below the track, a minimum of 8.20 m is required. The start/finish platform footprint is 17 m², the minimum track length is 80 m, the minimum turn radius is 6 m, and safety clearances are 2 m laterally and 2.35 m vertically.

What’s the difference between the Gravitational Loop and the Horizontal Loop?

In the Gravitational Loop, participants gain height as they progress through the obstacles — climbing, jumping, and working their way upward. The reward comes at the end: riders glide and jump back down the inclined track, combining the thrill of the obstacle course with the sensation of flight on the descent. This configuration works best where ceiling height or natural outdoor elevation is available.
The Horizontal Loop is designed for indoor venues with standard ceiling heights. Participants move between platforms on a flat track, jumping and gliding horizontally — experiencing the feeling of flying between platforms without the need for significant vertical space.

What makes Jump&Run different from a zip line or a standard glide ride?

Jump&Run is entirely human-powered — there is no passive descent, no queue and sit. Riders advance by running, jumping, and gliding under their own effort, which triggers a genuine endorphin release and generates the kind of laughter and energy that passive rides simply cannot. It supports solo play and head-to-head racing with optional timing and scoring. It is a game, not just a ride — and that distinction is what keeps guests coming back.

Is this the same product as Rollglider Jump&Run?

Yes. Jump&Run was previously marketed as “Rollglider Jump&Run.” The product is unchanged — only the name has been simplified. It remains built on Walltopia’s Rollglider trolley platform.
