Located in a former church near the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Climbing District Sèvres-Lecourbe gym offers a unique indoor climbing experience with 13-meter rope climbing walls across 31 lanes. The facility combines climbing with a social atmosphere, featuring a coffee shop and a coworking space. It’s designed for climbers at all levels to simply train or combine urban work-climb lifestyle.
The layout maximizes vertical space, and the rope climbing walls are designed to provide both aesthetic appeal with the coziness of natural materials and a varied climbing experience. The climbing wall design combines natural plywood light and dark panels with two variations of natural stone veneers. The veneer shapes are designed to look like a meteorite when the visitors take a selfie from the entrance and when the viewer moves to the left, the pattern resembles the “track left by the meteorite”. An abstract design decision that becomes only visible if you know it while still looking modern and appealing if you don’t know the idea behind.
The rope wall mats of client’s choice is 111 sqm of Climbmat RM60 with carpet top. Designed to be modular, the flooring can be partially and temporary removed.
