The Climbing Business Journal has been gathering, analyzing and systematizing data about climbing gyms in North America for many years. They initiated an annual review in 2019 called the Gym List Awards to highlight the most significant achievements and developments in the industry for each respective year.

In 2021, they introduced the Wall Builder of the Year Award, which we have won every year since then (check Wall Builder of the Year 2022, Gym List Awards 2021)

In fact, our statistics show that we have been the biggest manufacturer of climbing surfaces in the US for the past 10 years!

One of our long-term returning clients in the US, Central Rock Gym, has also been recognized by the Climbing Business Journal. They have won the “Developer of the Year” award for 2023. Since January, they have opened five brand new locations, offering a total climbing surface of over 36,000 sqft (3,340 sqm). Walltopia is extremely grateful that they chose us as the manufacturer for all of them. In fact, Central Rock Gym is the only climbing gym chain in North America that operates more than 20+ climbing facilities exclusively through self-builds, without any acquisitions or external investments.

Over the past year, Walltopia has constructed more than 600,000 sqft (55,741 sqm) of climbing surface across 104 gyms located in 33 different countries worldwide.
